MaldonadoWe stayed in Madonado near her parents. Here is the main square: We went to a historical park and museum. I love the great physics in this statue. Honey? Can I bring it home? Montevideo:Into Montevideo for Church: Even here I could find something about Cuba . . . On the way home we stopped at Punto Ballena (Whale Point). Here is me and my friend's dad at the sunset: Punta del Este:The next day we went to Punta del Este (the eastern point) which is the southernmost point in Uruguay. Wait a minute. What did I just say? I guess some explorer had a broken compass that day. Here the sea lions liked to help the fisherman clean up the wharf after cleaning: To my right is the Atlantic ocean and to my left is the Plata River. Can you see the dotted line separating the two? Here is the lighthouse from the point an a interesting statue in the sand. I wouldn't want to meet the rest of this guy . . . Pan de AzucarOne day we went to the hill near the coast: Pan de Azucar (Sweet Bread) to do some hiking. We are going to that giant cross at the top of the hill: We made it. Now for the view from the cross. Looking up the stairs from the bottom: The view from the top. The third picture shows the cute town from the next section, Piriopolis: They will let anyone up here. Looking down from the top: We made it down alive: At the base they had a nice zoo with some animals: Cute little town of Piriopolis: Here is my friend horsing around with her favorite cousin at her parent's house: San CarlosWe had a quick visit to San Carlos: On the way we stopped at the Atlantic Ocean and José Ignacio This bridge is between Maldonado and La Barra, its like a free roller-coaster! Some friends of my friends invited us over for some incredible pizza. The girl was a neighbor, but she new good pizza when she tasted it: Nap time! Time to leave Uruguay:I'm ready!
