Durban South Africa, November 2005 November 2005 I was able to travel to Durban, South Africa. I attended the World Conference on Physics in Sustainable Development. Honestly, the conference was not greatly useful, and Durban was dangerous, but the natural environment in South Africa was wonderful!

First I went out to the beautiful national park, uKhalambda-Drakensberg at the Giant's Castle. when I got there I went to the pre-historic bushman rock-art museum. Below is a great movie that you can down load to view. This is my Zulu guide at the museum demonstrating the "clicking" language of the bushmen. Here is the neighborhood. the Zulu had an interesting round building with a thatched roof. Finally on my last full day I went south along the Indian ocean to visit the small towns. This also was a nice change from Durban and much more friendly. Thanks for visiting my website!
