On the way over in the plane, we had a comprehensive test. Lets
get the tough bookwork over first, then we can focus on exploring London! Here
are Laurel and Abby in the plane. In the back of the third picture is Dane.

Our first night in London we rode the London Eye . . .

On the first day we went to the RAF museum. Off we go . . .

Then we had the weekend free. Happy New Year!!

After the weekend, all the classes went to Windsor Castle and
Hampton court.
At Windsor Castle Dr. Borden and I looked around:

Hampton Court. We saw Jan Austen's house and made it to the
center of the hedge maze.

During the week we did experiments to fulfill the Lab-Based
Science requirement.

We shot lots of water-rockets in Hyde park. No worries this year. The bobbies
came by to watch.

Below are links to three movies we took during the launches. (Sorry for the
poor quality.)

Not a lot of science, but the Tower of London was Way Cool!

Then the Tower Bridge (Experience)

St Paul's Cathedral, is a real feat of engineering. We all took the steps to
the top.
We finished up with lunch at the Sherlock Holmes Pub.
Next we journeyed to Greenwich and visited The Cutty Sark and the Royal
Observatory. This is the boat ride down the river Thames.

Below is another movie on the return boat ride (minus the cold wind . . .)

On the Cutty Sark! I tried to fit in a sailor's bunk. It might work if I
leave my bunny slippers at home.

Here we are at the prime meridian, the whole class is in two hemispheres for
this picture!
Finally, Road trip! Next was possibly the highlight of the course. We all got up
and left the study center at 6:00 AM and journeyed to Stonehenge. We were able
to make special arrangements and go into the stones! Wow!
Below the is a link to a movie we took within the stones. (Sorry for the poor
quality.)

Next to Portchester Castle on Portsmouth Harbor. Very Nice!

We ended the day, and the class in Winchester. Nice, nice little town. This
is supposed to be a replica of King Arthur's round table.

God's Speed! to everybody!

Next Trip? Summer 2008?
